Babatunde is an accomplished Management and Public Health Specialist with an impressive track record of 29 years of experience in healthcare delivery at various levels. He has held the position of Honourable Commissioner for Health in Ogun State, Nigeria, and has led several national-level health system planning, reviews, advocacy, policy development, and proposal writing.
Babatunde has provided leadership on several projects, programs, awards, and special assignments funded by reputable organizations such as the UK-FCDO, The World Bank, The Global Fund, WHO, UNICEF, BMGF, USAID, Malaria Consortium, Oxford Policy Management (OPM), ALMA, FGN, and several states.
He has led and served as a consultant on several significant projects such as the National Malaria Strategic Plan 2021-2025 Development, GF-RSSH Grant Request for Nigeria, Nigeria Malaria Programme Review, and the Ethiopian Malaria Programme Review. He has also served as a National Consultant for the Multi-Country Evaluation of DFID-CHAI Market-Shaping for Access to Safe, Effective, and Affordable Health Commodities and as a Public Health Specialist and Short-Term Consultant (STC) for the HIV/AIDS Program Development Project II at The World Bank in Nigeria.
Babatunde holds a Medical degree from Ogun State University, Ago-Iwoye, a Masters Degree in Public Health from the University of Lagos, and a Certificate in Change Management at RIPA, UK. He is also a Fellow of the West African College of Physicians in Community Health.
